Here’s What’s Happening Around the Neighborhood this Month
Join your neighbors at the Village Club for Yoga with Allison Coulter starting this Friday at 10am. Alison is an advanced 500 hour yoga alliance certified yoga teacher. This class will be an all levels yoga class in the downstairs area of the Village Club. If numbers grow we will move to the Chickawa Outdoor Center which provides a larger space accommodating more people. Some experience is helpful but not necessary. The class will be structured so that everyone can enjoy the many benefits of yoga. Each pose has variations, allowing everyone to do the class at a level that suits them.AquaFit Class at the Village Pool Tuesdays & Thursdays at 6pm
Join your neighbors at the Village Pool for AquaFit classes. You can knock out your cardio AND strength training all at once! We meet on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 6pm at the Village Pool. Recommended (but not necessary) items include a pool noodle, foam dumbbells, aqua gloves & aqua sneakers. And of course plenty of water to rehydrate!! Monday 7/22 Movie on the Village Green 8pm
Grab a lawn chair or a blanket and plenty of snacks and join your neighbors for Lego Movie 2 on the Village Green at 8pm.
Monday-Thursday 7/22-7/25 Circus Camp (ages 2-6)
Activities include tight wires, stilts, juggling, face painting, and much more. Each camp will meet both on the Riverfront and inside the Chickawa Outdoor Center. The cost for each camp is $70/child/week. All campers must be potty trained. Each camp is Monday-Thursday 9am-12pm. Kids are to bring a snack and a water bottle every day. Wednesdays 7/24, 31 Men’s Bible Study at the Village Club 6:30-8pm
The study is for all levels of Christians and specifically for anyone who wants to learn, no matter his knowledge base or spiritual situation. New Christians and searchers are especially welcome. This will be non denominational in format with special attention paid to differences in theology, if necessary. The classes will be as intense as the class desires. The goal is to grow in Christ. Activities include bocce ball, corn toss, frisbee, beach tennis, flip cup, ladder golf, washer boards, beach ball volleyball, and pool games. Tuesday 7/30 Book Club at the Village Club 7:30pm
The book club will be reading, “Daisy Jones & The Six” by Taylor Jenkins Reid. Book club discussions are held at the Village Club at 7:30 on the last Tuesday of the month. Saturday 8/3 Gen X & Y Luau at the Village Pool 7-10pm
Generation X and Y, you are invited to our first Event featuring a Luau at the Village Pool from 7-10pm on August 3rd. Come in your favorite Hawaiian attire and enjoy socializing with your neighbors. BYOB and bring an appetizer to share.
Rotary Meetings – Do you know Rotary? This civic organization has impacts both worldwide and right here in Lexington! Feel free to come and join us every Friday morning at 7:30 am at the Holiday Inn on 378 and I-26 (across from Lexington Medical).
