February Activities:

Tuesday 2/26 Book Club at the Village Club 7:30pm
The book club will be reading for February, “Becoming Mrs. Lewis” by Patti Callahan.  Book club discussions are held at the Village Club at 7:30 on the last Tuesday of the month.  Come share your thoughts on the latest book and give ideas on any future reads.   If you have any questions you can contact Pat Cronin at 803-521-9138 or email at croninp32@hotmail.com.

March Activities:

Friday 3/1 Adult Social at the Village Club 7pm
Adult Social is the first Friday of every month.  Bring your favorite beverage, a small snack to share, and mingle with your neighbors!

Sunday 3/3, 10, 17, 24, 31 Ladies Bible Study at the Village Club 6:30-8pm
Please join us for our Bible Study at the Village Club on Sunday nights.

Monday 3/4 Jr. Women’s Club at the Village Club 6:30-8:30pm

Tuesday 3/5 Adult Board Game Night at the Village Club 7pm
Like to play board games?  Join your neighbors at the Village Club for an evening of playing board games.

Wednesday 3/6 Bridge at the Village Club 10am

Wednesdays 3/6, 13, 20, 27 Men’s Bible Study at the Village Club 6:30-8pm
Eldon Armstrong and Mike Burkhold will be starting a Men’s Bible Study.  An introductory session will be held on the first night to discuss the direction the group would like to follow.  The study is for all levels of Christians and specifically for anyone who wants to learn, no matter his knowledge base or spiritual situation.  New Christians and searchers are especially welcome.  This will be non denominational in format with special attention paid to differences in theology, if necessary.  The classes will be as intense as the class desires.  The goal is to grow in Christ.  If interested, please contact Eldon or Mike, or just show up. Thursday 3/7 Adult Board Game Night at the Village Club 7pm
Like to play board games?  Join your neighbors at the Village Club for an evening of playing board games.

Sunday 3/10 & 24 Dungeons and Dragons at the Chickawa Outdoor Center 1-5pm
Join us for an adventure with D&D, the original Role-Playing Game, every other Sunday.  This informal game is open to teens of all levels.  If you have any questions, contact Dash at (803) 553-6404.

Thursday 3/14 Ladies Meet & Greet at the Village Club 7pm
Ladies Meet and Greet is the second Thursday of every month. Bring your favorite beverage, a small snack to share, and mingle with your neighbors!

Friday 3/15 Boomers and Beyond at the Village Club 5:30pm 
Boomers (both singles and couples over 50) meet at the Village Clubhouse the third Friday of each month at 5:30pm.  Bring an appetizer to share and the beverage of your choice. If you would like to play left, right, center, bring three one dollar bills per person.

Tuesday 3/19 Ladies Bunco at the Village Club 7pm
Come for a night of fun with the ladies of SRC who get together on the 3rd Tuesday of every month to play bunco.  We start arriving @ 7pm and play till 8:30.  Bring $5 for the winners pot……never played, don’t worry, there are a few veterans to teach the rules and get the games started.  For information you can contact Pat Cronin @ 803-521-9138 or Jean Dyson @ 803-429-2349

Thursday 3/21 Men’s Night POKER GAME at the Village Club 7pm 
POKER GAME!!!  Lose a few old presidents & win some new friends.  Low stakes, High fun.  No experience preferred.  Men’s Night is the Third Thursday of every month. Bring your favorite beverage and a snack.

Thursday 5/2 Alcohol Inks 101: Painting Class at the Chickawa Outdoor Center 9:30am-12pm
This class will provide the student with all the tools she/he needs to enter the fascinating world of alcohol ink. A $35 supply fee will cover all that you need to create your own painting. Each participant needs only to bring an apron and a desire to learn and create some fun art.  Class limited to 20 participants.  Participants can book a spot by emailing peggy@maltarich.com.

Let’s PAINT SRC PURPLE in support of RELAY FOR LIFE 2019 and the AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY

WHAT – JOIN US IN PAINTING SRC PURPLE BY PURCHASING A PURPLE BOW FOR YOUR MAILBOX, FRONT DOOR or TREE IN SUPPORT OF THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY

WHEN – BOWS MAY BE PURCHASED FROM FRIDAY, MARCH 15TH – FRIDAY, MARCH 29TH

HOW – EASY!  Put your donation of $10 or more with cash or check (made out to American Cancer Society) in an envelope with your name and address. Donations should be placed under front porch doormat:

  • Village District – 403 Seaside Court
  • River District – 537 River Camp Drive
  • Woodlands – 338 Coldwater Crossing

A team member will deliver a purple bow to your front porch.  Bows can be displayed through Sunday May 5th.

WHY – Your donations help the AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY fund groundbreaking cancer research, critical patient care services, education and prevention initiatives, and so much more.  ACS is committed to saving lives from cancer.  Please join your SRC neighbors in working towards creating a world free from the pain and suffering of this disease.
