Here’s What’s Happening Around the Neighborhood this Month
Yoga Class at the Village Club Fridays at 10am 
Join your neighbors at the Village Club for Yoga with Allison Coulter starting this Friday at 10am.  Alison is an advanced 500 hour yoga alliance certified yoga teacher.  This class will be an all levels yoga class in the downstairs area of the Village Club.  Some experience is helpful but not necessary.  The class will be structured so that everyone can enjoy the many benefits of yoga. Each pose has variations, allowing everyone to do the class at a level that suits them.   You are encouraged to bring props, a yoga block, strap and yoga blanket. You can Google Amazon- yoga props. They are also available at Walmart.

March Activities:

Wednesdays 3/11, 18, 25 Men’s Bible Study at the Village Club 6:30-8pm
The study is for all levels of Christians and specifically for anyone who wants to learn, no matter his knowledge base or spiritual situation.  New Christians and searchers are especially welcome.  This will be non-denominational in format with special attention paid to differences in theology, if necessary.  The classes will be as intense as the class desires.  The goal is to grow in Christ.  If interested, please contact Eldon or Mike, or just show up. Thursday 3/12 SRC Ladies Night Out: Girls Scout Cookies and Wine Pairing with Sarah the Realtor® at the Village Clubhouse 6:30pm-8:30pm
Did you know that a thin mint pairs perfectly with a pinot noir? Or that a peanut butter sandwich goes hand in hand with a nice merlot? Friday 3/13 Drinks in the Driveway from 5:30-7:30pm
Come enjoy the new SRC monthly event Drinks in the Driveway every 2nd Friday of the month!   Jump on your golf cart, walk over, or drive to the neighbor of the month for adult and kid friendly beverages. You can bring your own beverage of course, but drinks and light snacks will be provided by the host. This is a great way to meet new neighbors, commune with those that you know, and have a delicious beverage!  Each month a SRC community neighbor can choose to host the event in their driveway.  This month your hosts are Jami & Michael Boone 429 River Club Road.

Sundays 3/15, 22, 29 Ladies Bible Study at the Village Club 6:30-8pm
Please join us for our Bible Study at the Village Club on Sunday nights. We are using a video series by Priscilla Shirer called “Discerning the Voice of God”.  We would love for you to join us! If your new to the neighborhood or have never participated in a study, please consider joining this great group of ladies! Tuesday 3/17 Ladies Bunco at the Village Club 7pm
Come for a night of fun with the ladies of SRC who get together on the 3rd Tuesday of every month to play bunco.  We start arriving @ 7pm and play till 8:30. Thursday 3/19 Men’s Night POKER GAME at the Village Club 7pm

Friday 3/20 Boomers & Beyond Social at the Village Club 5:30pm
Boomers & Beyond (both singles and couples over 50) meet at the Village Club the third Friday of each month at 5:30pm for a Social.  Bring your favorite beverage and a snack.

Thursday 3/26 Healthy Eating Class at the Village Club 7pm
50 – 60 years ago, cancer was rare.  Now, scientists expect everyone to develop cancer at least once in their lifetime.  Other serious illnesses are also on the rise.  Eating healthy is easier than many people realize.  Come to the Healthy Eating Class, sponsored by Gourmade Meals In Your Home, for information and discussion of what we all can do to be and stay healthy.

Saturday 3/28 Midlands Heart Walk at the Colonial Life Arena 8am 
Please join your neighbors on March 28th at the fields by Colonial Life Arena, for the 22nd Annual Midlands Heart Walk. This American Heart Association event is focused on raising heart rates and raising funds for its lifesaving mission to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives. This year, Saluda River Club is forming a team to come out and walk as a group. Calling all SRC Kiddoes 12 Years and Younger!  Grab your Easter Basket and join us for an Easter Egg Hunt on The Riverfront.

Tuesday 3/31 Book Club at the Village Club 7:30pm

Saturday 4/18 Spring Yard Sale 7-11am
Get rid of some things you don’t need and make a little cash!  We’ll place an ad in The State Newspaper, post the event on Facebook, and place a sign out at the front of the community.  Just bring your tables to the Village Green lawn.  Or, set out your things at your house.

Sunday 4/26 SRC Family Field Day on the Riverfront 
Grab your picnic baskets and blankets and join your neighbors for a picnic on the Riverfront.  Then, Kid Fit will lead us in Field Day events.  If you don’t want to participate, be sure to bring a chair to watch and cheer on your favorite SRC neighbors!  See you there!!!

Saturday 5/30 2nd Annual Sarah the Realtor Summer Kick-Off Pool Party at the Chickawa Outdoor Center Noon-2:00pm
Kick off the start of summer with the whole family at an event hosted by your neighbor, Sarah Bennett, Realtor. Grab your swimsuit and enjoy a day at the pool with pizza, snacks, adult and kid beverages, giveaways, and a whole lot of fun! Kid Fit Summer Camps Coming to Saluda River Club:

June 15-18 Sports Galore Camp (ages 5-12)
July 6-9 Sports Galore Camp (ages 2-6
)
Activities include volleyball with beach balls, balloon tennis, noodle hockey, bowling, soccer, basketball, and much more.

July 13-16 Gymnastics Camp (ages 2-6)
Activities include mats, balance beams, trampolines, bars, rings, tumbling aids, and much more.

July 20-23 Circus Camp (ages 2-6)
Activities include tight wires, stilts, juggling, face painting, and much more.

July 27-30 Beach Camp (ages 5-12)
Activities include bocce ball, corn toss, frisbee, beach tennis, flip cup, ladder golf, washer boards, beach ball volleyball, and pool games.

Each camp will meet both on the Riverfront and inside the Chickawa Outdoor Center.  The cost for each camp is $70/child/week.  All campers must be potty trained.  Each camp is Monday-Thursday 9am-12pm.  Kids are to bring a snack and a water bottle every day.  Please email activities@saludariverclub.com to reserve a space for your child.
