Saluda River Club Offers iExplorers Camps for Kids this Summer
Saluda River Club is proud to present iExplorers Kids Technology Camps this summer! Are you ready for your children to explore, create and share? iExplorers is the perfect place for your kids to learn science, technology and higher order thinking. Make sure to sign them up for one of the three camps being held at the Chickawa Outdoor Center in June and July!
iExplorers at the River Club Retreat is taught by Wendy Wells Gallagher, a 20-year veteran K-12 educator and Instructional Technology Specialist. The camps teach today’s children, known as “Digital Natives”, more about the world around them and prepare them for jobs in the 21st century through “project based learning.” Your campers will gain the skills needed to filter online information, organize the content and effectively communicate their ideas in exciting new ways. Send your kids to learn about Digital Story Telling, Podcasting the Past, Microscopic Organisms, Chemistry, News Reporting, Computer Programming, App Exploration, EBook Creation and more.
The camps will be held June 17-20, July 8-11 and July 15-18 from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm for 3rd to 12th graders. Make sure to send your child with a lunch, however snacks, drinks and iPads will be provided! Sign a camper up today for an incredible technological experience! Email iexplorerstechcamp@gmail.com or call 803-518-8137 for more information. We look forward to seeing all of the campers this summer!
