On Friday, March 21, the Junior Women’s Club of Lake Murray‘s Arts Department is planning a Shag Night at the Chickawa Center in Saluda River Club to benefit the Midway Elementary School’s Music Department. 100% of the $10 admission per person will go to supporting the school’s music education. Tickets may be purchased online.
From 7:30 – 10PM, a great time will be had by all who love to dance the Carolina Shag (a descendant of the Carolina Jitterbug – according to Bo Bryan, a Carolina Shag historian). Come ready to show off your fancy steps, including the Round House, the Boogie Walk, and the Roll Out, and enjoy tasty refreshments!
