Saluda River Club is located in Lexington District One, one of the largest and most prestigious districts in the state. Home to 26 schools, including: 14 elementary schools, one intermediate school, six middle schools, four high schools and an innovative technology center.

In the past few years, the District One School Board has undertaken and completed numerous improvements, new construction projects, expansions and renovations to the existing schools, as well as adding four new high school stadiums. These construction improvements reflect the school board’s attempt to keep pace with the ever increasing academic achievements of the students enrolled in District One Schools.

Lexington District One is known for the outstanding academic achievements of its students. Scoring above the state and national SAT average for 17 years in a row, Lexington District One 2008 graduates received over $31 million in scholarships, according to the district’s website. The site also notes that Lexington District One also boasted 209 South Carolina Junior Scholars in 2008. Additionally, foreign languages are offered at all levels in the schools. For extracurricular activities, the schools are known for hosting award-winning musical and athletic programs.

So why pay for a private school education when you can get a top-rated education in one of the state’s most prestigious public school systems?
