January activities at Saluda River Club

Every month Saluda River Club has a variety of events for the whole family. If you are interested in the outdoors or you would like to get to know your neighbors through game nights and viewing parties, we have just the thing for you.

If you are in the market for a new home in Lexington that has that distinct community feeling, look no further than Saluda River Club.

January Event Calendar

Monday 1/5 – Carolina Wildlife Wild Wonders Outreach Program, 3:00 p.m., COC
CWC’s live wildlife ambassadors, including snakes, turtles, raptors, songbirds, opossums or other wild animals are coming to the Chickawa Outdoor Center for residents to have an up-close look at the natural world. The program may further incorporate stories, games, artifacts and other interactive experiences designed to enlighten and excite participants to the wonders of the natural world. All age groups are welcome!

Monday 1/5 – Junior Women’s Club, 7:00 p.m., COC
Saluda River Club residents are always invited to join this dynamic group of ladies with a focus to improve the Lake Murray community.

Monday 1/5 – Bachelor Viewing Party, 8:00 p.m., VC
Chris Soules, the stylish farmer from Iowa, is back on the market after he was sent home by Andi Dorfman on The Bachelorette. Join for the series premiere of ABC’s The Bachelor.

Thursday 1/8 – Ladies Night: Mother/Daughter Game Night, 7:00 p.m., COC
Bunco nights are being replaced with themed monthly ladies nights. This month, bring some games and hot cocoa for a game night. If you do not have a mother or daughter in the neighborhood or local area, adoptions for the evening are encouraged.

Thursday 1/15 – Men’s Card Night, 7:00 p.m., VC
Men’s Card Night is the third Thursday of every month. Bring your favorite beverage, a snack and at least $10 for the pot.

Tuesday 1/27 – Book Club, 7:30 p.m., VC
The Book Club will read The Boys in the Boat: Nine Americans and their Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics by Daniel James Brown. Make a new year’s resolution to read more and join us for the discussion. Readers meet on the last Tuesday of the month.

Saturday 1/31 – Columbia Brew Bus, 3:00 PM-7:00 p.m. 
Tours will include stops at three breweries: Conquest, River Rat and Swamp Cabbage. At each stop residents will be able to sample a variety of different styles of beer, receive a guided facility tour from a brewery staff member and have the chance to buy brewery merchandise and/or growlers and bottles of beer to take home with them before hopping back on the bus to head to the next brewery. Each stop will last about an hour, with a total tour time of about three and a half hours. Snacks and water are provided. Prices are subject to the amount of people for each tour and the bus can hold up to 20 people.

Cost:
8-12 people is $45 per person
13-17 people is $42 per person
18-20 people is $40 per person

Wellness Programs at Saluda River Club

Fitness Center Introduction
1/10 at 10:00 a.m.
1/18 at 7:30 p.m.
A local personal trainer will host an introduction to using the fitness center and the machines properly for a healthy work out. Introduction classes are complimentary.

Cardio Jam Classes
Mondays at 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Fitness Center.

BrewAsanas: Yoga and Beer 1/18 at 3:00 p.m.
Third Sunday of each month at 3:00 p.m. at the COC.

Enjoy yoga and craft beer from South Carolina breweries with SRC resident certified yoga instructor and beer brewer Kelly Gregory. All ages and fitness levels are welcome but beer will only be provided for those over 21 years of age. Yoga and beer are complimentary. Namaste and Cheers!
