November’s Yard of the Month goes to The Kurz Family at 169 River Club Road! Let’s congratulate them and start thinking about the Christmas Decorating Contest Judging on Sunday 12/1.
Activities:
Tuesday 11/12 – Neighborhood Watch Meeting at the Village Club at 7:30pm
Tuesday 11/12 – Ladies Night Out w/ an Evening of Painting at Grapes and Gallery at 6pm.
Hosted by Grapes and Gallery, located at 1113 Taylor Street which is in downtown Columbia on the corner of Main and Taylor, behind Mast General Store, the cost is $35 per person, which includes the canvas, paint, use of their brushes and easel. Please bring your own food, wine, or anything else you desire. Thursday 11/14 – Ladies Bunco at The Village Club at 7pm
Bunco is the second Thursday of every month. Bring your favorite beverage, a snack and $5 to contribute to the pot. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to play, your neighbors will teach you the game and you may be a lucky winner.
Thursday 11/21 – Men’s Card Night at The Village Club at 7pm
Men’s Card Night is the Third Thursday of every month. Bring your favorite beverage, a snack and at least $10 for the pot.
Tuesday 11/26 – Book Club at The Village Club at 7:30pm
Book Club is the last Tuesday of every month. The November selection is “You Knew Me When” by Emily Liebert.

Sunday 12/1 – Holiday Decorating Judging
Let’s make the community look great for the Holiday Season! We’ll be giving awards for the Best Holiday Decorating in each District as well as the infamous Griswold Award!
Sunday 12/1 – SRC Holiday Tour of Homes sponsored by the Jr. Women’s Club of Lake Murray
Residents may sign up to participate and have their home featured on tour. We’ll be giving away a $300 prize for the best decorated home, and $100 to each homeowner that participates. Contact Sarah at forevercarolina@yahoo.com to participate.
Sunday 12/8 – Dinner with Santa and Tree Trimming Party at the Chickawa Outdoor Center from 6-8pm
Join your neighbors for an evening of holiday fun! We’ll enjoy holiday caroling by The Carillon Carolers, Dinner catered by Corley Mill Catering, and a Story and Photos with Santa. Children are encouraged to wear their Christmas pajamas! If you are a new homeowner, don’t forget to bring an ornament for the tree! Jodi Jones Photography will be taking 5×7” photos with Santa for $10. Please bring cash or a check made out to Jodi Jones. Please RSVP by Wednesday 12/4 to activities@saludariverclub.com with the number of adults and children to attend. If you are bringing a non-resident, the cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children, and children under 5 are free. This fee will be collected at the door.
Saturday 12/14 – Adult Ugly Sweater Party at the Chickawa Outdoor Center at 7pm
Join your neighbors for the SRC Annual Adult Ugly Sweater Party at the Chickawa Outdoor Center. This is an annual tradition in SRC that you do not want to miss! Please bring an appetizer to share with your neighbors. Entrance fee is $5 per person. Prizes will be awarded to the best male and female and the most traditional sweater. More details coming soon!

Wellness Programs at Saluda River Club
Group Fitness Classes–This will be a martial arts based workout and will be held outdoors on the grassy area near the river, weather permitting. It will be held on Tuesdays only from 5-6 and will continue based on participation. The cost is $10 each session. We will begin on Sept 17. Let me know if you have any questions. Yoga Classes
