Custom Homebuilder, Tammy Jur is a second-generation builder. Her father, Gene Ford, has been a local builder in the Columbia Metro region for more than twenty years and provided a guiding hand when Vesta Builders was launched over ten years ago.

Joe Jur is a licensed mechanical engineer by both education and training. He earned a BS from the University of South Carolina and a MS from the University of Illinois. Joe worked locally as an engineering consultant prior to joining his wife in homebuilding.

Having the ability to draw on generations of experience in the building industry and an engineering background makes this a unique and award-winning team. Vesta Builders is proud to have been voted "Columbia's Best Builder" in 2009 and 2010.

With The Urban Cottage Collection™, Joe and Tammy Jur challenged themselves to design homes that represent "smart living" for the next decade's savvy buyer. Vesta partnered with local award-winning residential architect, J. Timothy Hance to design "the ultimate sustainable cottage home for today's urban lifestyle."

The goal was to build timeless, lasting architecture with a classic comfort that offers bright, open floor plans, right-sized square footage and desirable living spaces.
