Kid Fit Demonstration and Pizza Party
Thursday, May 5th, 6-7:30pm
Chickawa Riverfront Lawn
SRC has partnered with Kid Fit, LLC to bring summer camps to you! Join us for this family demo day to experience the camps and to meet the Kid Fit team.  RSVP by Monday, May 2nd

Ladies Bunco
Tuesday, May 10th, 7pm
Village Clubhouse
Bunco is the second Tuesday of every month. Bring your favorite beverage and $5 to contribute to the pot. We are also looking for at least six volunteers to bring a hearty snack to share with the ladies.  RSVP by May 6th

Movie Night on the Green – “Despicable Me”
Friday, May 13th, 8pm
Village Green
Movie Night is back! Everyone is invited to bring a blanket or chair and your favorite snacks to enjoy a movie under the stars! We’ll spray for mosquitoes, but you may want to bring bug spray just in case we miss a few.

Spring Boutique hosted by Inspiraled Original Artworks
Saturday, May 21st, 10am-4pm
Chickawa Outdoor Center
Bring your friends and family to enjoy a day of shopping at the Chickawa Outdoor Center! Experience local handmade jewelry, pottery, soft toys, handbags, delicious treats, acoustic music by Ryan Smith and much more!  This event was organized by and will feature SRC homeowner Becky Blair (InSpiraled Original Artworks by Becky Blair) and will also include SRC homeowner, Tracy Halliday’s Truffles by Tracy.

Caribbean Pool Party
Friday, May 27th, 6-9pm
We’re bringing the Caribbean Islands and the Saluda River together for our 2nd Annual Caribbean Pool Party! Enjoy the sounds of Island Close By Steel Drum Band, dress in your favorite island apparel and enjoy food and refreshments sure to remind you of distant beaches.  RSVP by May 23rd

April Events at Saluda River Club

Saluda River Club presents the April Calendar of Events for residents and guests.

Beach Body Boot Camp
Tuesdays and Thursday, April 5th –April 28th
Come join SRC’s personal trainer, Jeremy, for a high intensity boot camp to help shed some pounds and shape your body. This boot camp will consist of eight evening workouts during the month of April. Boot Camp will involve a variety of activities, including body weight exercises, core strengthening workouts, and targeted muscle strengthening activities. We will meet every Tuesday and Thursday evenings down near the river, as weather permits, from 6-7pm.

Ladies Bunco Night
Tuesday, April 12th, 7pm
Village Clubhouse
Get ready to roll the dice!!! You’re invited to the Village Club the second Tuesday of every month for Ladies Bunco Night.

Spring Fling on the River
Sunday, April 17th, 1:30-3:30pm
Chickawa Riverfront
Bring the family and visit with your neighbors on the beautiful Chickawa Riverfront. Children will enjoy bounce houses, putt-putt, balloon creations by Balloonopolis and face painting by Sarah Dippity! Light refreshments will be served.

Wine Lottery-White Wines from Napa Valley
Friday, April 22, 7pm
Village Clubhouse
Don’t miss out on the fun! Each participating couple or individual will bring two bottles of the same wine. The label will be covered on one bottle and the second bottle will be put aside. The group will sample and score each wine. If your wine is judged as one of the top three bottles, you will win a portion of the unopened bottles. This time we will taste white wines from Napa Valley. Light appetizers will be served.

Event for Governor Haley at Saluda River Club

The Home Builders Association of South Carolina held an oyster roast fundraiser for newly elected SC Governor Nikki Haley.  The event was held at Saluda River Club’s Chickawa Outdoor Center.  Governor Haley expressed her appreciation for the support of the HBA and those in attendance.  The Governor also gave a brief speech on her plans to create jobs and stabilize the state economy.

October Events at Saluda River Club

School is out so let’s head to the pumpkin patch!
Trip to Harmon’s Pumpkin Patch.  Monday, October 11^th, 1:30 p.m.
Kids of all ages will enjoy a Haunted Hayride to the Pumpkin Patch where they can pick out a pumpkin, enjoy the playground and animal farm.  The cost is $7.50 per person (including adults), 2 years and younger are free.  Plan to meet at the Village Green at 1:30pm to get to Harmon’s by 2:00.  RSVP by October 8^th  

Ladies Bunco Night  Tuesday, October 12^th, 7:00 p.m., Village Clubhouse
You’re invited to the Village Clubhouse the second Tuesday of every month for a fun night of Bunco.  Just bring $5 and your favorite beverage.  RSVP by October 8^th

Art on the River Opening Night with the Artist
Friday, October 22, 6:00-10:00pm, Chickawa Outdoor Center
Homeowners and guests are invited to meet the artist, mingle with friends and enjoy complimentary food and beverages while browsing paintings by local artist Bob Graham.   The exhibit is open to the community Saturday, 10am-6pm.  Homeowners and guest please RSVP to Opening Night by October 15^th

Halloweenie Roast & Chili Cookoff  Sunday, October 24^th, 3:00-6:00pm, Enjoy hot dogs, hayrides, games, pumpkin decorating and, with your help, a parade and chili cook-off!  Decorate your golf carts, bikes, wagons, cars, and of course put on your Halloween costumes for a parade from the Village Green to the Chickawa Outdoor Center.  We need at least 5 participants for the chili cook-off.  All you need is a pot of chili and you are in.  Please see the attached Chili-Cook-off-Form for complete cook-off details.   RSVP/Register by October 17^th

Join us in celebrating the end of summer with a Back to School Pool Party.  We’ll have live music from Brian Connor and His Amazing Friends, and food from Lizard’s Thicket.

Exciting News for Saluda River Club and Two Terrific Builders

Earlier this summer, the Homebuilders Association of Greater Columbia presented the 2010 Tour of Homes, Columbia’s Largest Open House of New Homes.   Two of the homes built in Saluda River Club won Best Overall Home in their category.

“The Logan”  by Paradime Construction won Best Overall in the category of $301,000-$400,000.
“The Heathwood” by Vesta Builders won Best Overall in the category of $501,000 – $750,000. 

Saluda River Club congratulates these builders and are proud of their work within our community.

April 15.  Homeowners and guests enjoyed a Cooking Class by Chef Christopher Rowlings with Gourmet 2 Go.

Lexington County Choral Society is hosting this exciting musical event that will include 2 outdoor stages and music by Dick Goodwin inside the Chickawa Outdoor Center. Tickets must be purchased in advance to attend. For more information call 803-359-8794 or visit www.lexcochoralsoc.org

3 Saturday’s in May:  Music on the Green  (May 1, 8, 15)   2-5pm
Join us for an afternoon of live acoustic music on the Village Green.  Bring your blankets or lawn chairs and favorite lawn game.   We’ll have corn hole toss and ladder golf, balloons and sidewalk chalk.

From Fly Fishing to Fine Wine Events

Saluda River Club residents, guests and prospective home owners are invited to experience Saluda River Club from the shores of the river or from a wine tasting event at the Village Clubhouse.

Fly Fishing Classes, Sundays 2pm (March, April, May)

Saluda River Club is honored to have Michael Frank of Frank’s Fly Arts conduct fly fishing classes on the banks of the Saluda.  Frank’s Fly Arts is Columbia’s only professional fly fishing guide service.

Participants will enjoy learning everything from fly tying, fly casting and basic fishing tactics.  Pre-paid registration is required.  See PDF for details.

Premier Event at Saluda River Club

“The Auction Down by The River” was held at Saluda River Club March 4^th .

The Chickawa Outdoor Center was the venue for the Greater Lexington Chamber of Commerce’s Premier Event of the Year!  

The auction event is designed to promote the Lexington Community and to have fun while raising funds for the Chamber.  Participants enjoyed live entertainment, great food, with a live and silent auction.

Blue Marlin Signature Catering provided: Steamed Oysters, BBQ, Low Country Stew, Premium Libations, Music and More.
