Holiday Decorating Contest
Break out the tinsel and lights! It’s time for our first Holiday Decorating Contest! All residents are encouraged to take part in this contest by decorating the outside of your home for the holidays. Three winners will be selected and prizes will be awarded at the New Year’s Eve Party on December 30th (you do not have to be present to win). Judging will take place the week of December 13th.
SRC Ugly Sweater Potluck Party
December 18th, 7p.m., Village Club
For Residents Only
Put on the ugliest sweater you can find, bring your favorite holiday dish and beverages and join your neighbors for a good time. Adults, only please.
Parent’s Night Out
Tuesday, December 21st, 6-8pm, Information Center
Get your last minute Christmas shopping done, wrap presents, or get a bite to eat while your children learn how to make pasta with the Young Chef’s Academy. We’ll make the pasta dough, roll it out and cut the noodles. The kids can invent their own butter and herb sauce. We will make a French Crepe filled with creamy chocolate mousse and they’ll also get to decorate a Christmas Cookie to take home. The cost is $20 per child. RSVP by December 13.
New Year’s Eve Party
Thursday, December 30th, 6-9p, Chickawa Outdoor Center
Residents and guests are invited to our annual pre-New Year’s Eve party. Enjoy a delicious BBQ dinner with all the fixin’s and a fantastic fireworks display everyone will love! RSVP by December 27th

Premier Designs Party with a Purpose this Sunday!
Sunday, November 7th, 3-6pm, Village Clubhouse.
Check out the catalogs in the Village Club and upstairs in the Fitness Center.
Ladies Bunco Night this Tuesday
Tuesday, November 9th, 7:00pm, Village Clubhouse
It’s time to roll the dice! Please bring your favorite beverage and $5 for the pot. We also need at least six snack volunteers. RSVP by November 7th
Holiday Bow Making Class hosted by Connie Perry and Kathy Goerss
Thursday, November 18th, 6:30 p.m., Village Clubhouse
Learn how to create holiday bows for wreaths, home decor, Christmas trees and packages. Participants are encouraged to bring a wreath or decorative item, three yards of ribbon for a small bow and five to six yards for a large bow. Please note: ribbon with wire is easier to work with and turns out much nicer. Light refreshments will also be served. RSVP by November 16th.
Cooking Class: Easy Holiday Entertaining
Friday, November 19th, 7:00-9:00 p.m., Information Center
Chef Christopher Rawlings is back to show us how to host an awesome holiday dinner party with minimal time and planning. RSVP by November 16th.

Saturday, October 23 | 10am – 6pm
Meet the artist and mingle with neighbors and friends at the Chickawa Outdoor Center within Saluda River Club’s River District.
Experience the artist’s passion for western art, as well as, the love of his South Carolina roots. Paintings depicting the War Between the States, Native American, Western and Cowboy themes, prints and portraits will be available for purchase during the Art on the River event.
ART ON THE RIVER WITH BOB GRAHAM
Saturday, October 23 | 10am – 6pm
Featured artist Bob Graham, a native of West Columbia, was an exhibitor and part owner of Waterfront Gallery in Charleston, SC for 15 years. He graduated from Brookland Cayce High School in 1986; earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Newberry College; and received his MFA in Illustration from The Savannah College of Art and Design where he earned his nickname by walking barefoot on the beaches of Savannah wearing his Stetson hat.
