On Tuesday, January 6 from 7-8PM, certified yoga and Pilates instructor Kelly Gregory invites Saluda River Club residents, male and female, to join her for weekly Pilates classes at the Chickawa Outdoor Center.

“Pilates is great for anyone and any body,” notes Kelly, who recently moved to the Woodlands District in Saluda River Club with her husband Adam and their two beloved dogs. “Yoga and Pilates are complementary. They both promote stretching and building strength, and help you focus on your breathing and your balance.

“My class is not age-specific, and will be suited for beginners as well as devotees,” says Kelly. “All you need to do is bring a mat and wear comfortable clothes. Make it your new year’s resolution now to start Pilates with us on January 6!”

In October, Kelly and Adam moved from the Cayce Riverwalk area to Saluda River Club. “We wanted a bigger home but stay on the Saluda River within the award-winning Lexington School District One. Then we found this home, with its modified open floor plan, a loft upstairs and a private back yard. The extra space in our new home is perfect for brewing our own beer!”

According to Kelly: “The amenities at Saluda River Club are truly outstanding – for us and for our dogs, who love the walking trails and dog park here.”

In addition to her weekly Pilates classes, Kelly will also start hosting a monthly Yoga & Beer class for Saluda River Club residents. The first BrewAsanas, inspired by similar events hosted in trendy cities throughout the U.S., will be held on Sunday, January 18 at 3PM at the Chickawa Outdoor Center and feature beer from three new local breweries in Columbia. “What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon! We’re expecting a crowd from the Saluda River Club community for some relaxing yoga followed by a craft beer. Fun way to get to know many Saluda River Club neighbors.”
