Mark your calendars – fun stuff coming for November and December

November Activities:

Wednesday 11/11, 18, 25 Ladies Bible Study at the Village Club from 7:00-8:30pm
Join us for a Ladies’ Bible Study to be held each Wednesday from October 7, 2015 through December 9, 2015 at the Village Club. We will be doing a bible study by Melissa Spoelstra titled Jeremiah: Daring to Hope in an Unstable World. Thursday 11/12 Ladies Meet and Greet at the Village Club at 7pm
Ladies Meet and Great is the second Thursday of every month. This month bring your favorite fall beverage and fall treat to share (please bring recipe cards to share with your neighbors). We will also be collecting canned goods for Harvest Hope Food Bank.

Friday 11/13 Baby/Toddler Play Time at the Chickawa Outdoor Center 10am
Pack up your baby or toddler, coffee to go, and a few books or toys to share and join the SRC Moms for a playdate at the Chickawa Outdoor Center.

Saturday 11/14 SRC Block Party in the Woodlands District from 12-6pm
Calling all Residents for a Block Party in the Woodlands District on Watershed Lane! Bring your favorite Chili, Side Dish, or Desert to share. We’ll be awarding prizes for each category. We’ll also have football games on projection screens, cornhole, and a craft beer tasting or BYOB! See you there!

Thursday 11/19 Men’s Cards/FOOTBALL Night at the Village Club at 7pm
Men’s Card Night is the Third Thursday of every month. Bring your favorite beverage and a snack. We may not decide to play cards, but we’ll be watching FOOTBALL this month!

Sunday 11/22 Holiday Shopping at the Chickawa Outdoor Center at 2pm
Come enjoy an afternoon of shopping in the beautiful rustic setting of Saluda River Club’s Chickawa Outdoor Center. Get in the holiday spirit with some shopping and community camaraderie. Bring the kids and let them play at the craft center while you shop.

Saturday 11/28 Carolina/Clemson Viewing Party at the Village Club (Adults Only)
Wear your Team Colors and let’s watch the big game! Bring your favorite adult beverage, a small snack to share, and mingle with your neighbors!

Coming in December:

Tuesday 12/2 Book Club at the Village Club 7:30pm (Date Change)
Please note: Because of the Thanksgiving holiday the book club will not meet on the usual last Tuesday of the month in November, but will meet on Tuesday, December 1st. The book club selection for November is A Prayer for Owen Meany by well known author John Irving. Irving has written a novel of faith, friendship and fate and if you’ve read other books by Irving you will find the same out of the ordinary characters, wealth of symbolic meaning and literary skill. Book club discussions are held at the Village Club at 7:30 on the last Tuesday of the month…..come share your thoughts on the latest book and give ideas on any future reads. Sunday 12/7 Holiday Decorating Judging
Let’s make the community look great for the Holiday Season! We’ll be giving awards for the Best Holiday Decorating in each District!

Saturday 12/12 Breakfast with Santa at the Chickawa Outdoor Center at 9am

Saturday 12/19 Adult Ugly Sweater Party featuring The Reggie Sullivan Band at the Chickawa Outdoor Center at 7pm
($5 Entry Fee – Donation for Holiday Adoption of Coldstream Family & $3 for Left, Right, Center)
