Village Green Builders Introduces Three New Single Family Plans at Saluda River Club

Introducing Three of Six New “Founder’s Collection” Plans to be Built in the Village District.

Village Green Builders is proud to introduce the first three of its six new Founder’s Collection plans to be built in the Village District at Saluda River Club. These three bedroom, two-and-one-half bath single-family homes are the newest product line from Village Green Builders.

The collection of six master down plans are perfectly suited for the Village Center with spacious front porches, wide open living spaces and screened rear porches. With master suites featuring oversized walk-in closets, two sinks, water closet, soaking tub, and walk-in shower, these 2,000 square foot homes have a lot to offer!

The Longstreet, at 2,075 square feet, is a modern and stylish home with rich hardwood flooring, sharp stainless steel appliances, open living spaces, high quality ceramic tiled baths and well appointed lighting. The open, linear flow of the layout off of the wide front porch makes for great entertaining. On the 2nd floor there are two additional bedrooms, each with walk-in closets. The rear of the home features an office, ample laundry room, utility closet, drop zone, screened porch and two car garage.

The Thornwell features a wide front porch for rocking that opens into dramatic hardwood floors in a cozy family room with fireplace, kitchen with granite island gas cooktop with seating for four, and dining room with stunning landscape views. This 2,180 square foot home also features an office on the main floor, which makes the perfect workspace, homework area or hobby room. Upstairs, family or guests will be comfortable in the two additional spacious bedrooms. The two car garage provides superb convenience and storage.

With 2,210 square feet of living space, the Petigru’s classic formal foyer and living spaces are open and inviting, lending themselves well to entertaining, family gatherings or just quiet enjoyment.
This home’s personality is reflected in the comfy “lifestyle triangle”, an open kitchen with granite island, dining room and family room with fireplace. Upstairs, guests or family have a private “wing” with two sizeable bedrooms with walk-in closets, and a loft for TV, computer or game room space. The rear of the home features an office, ample laundry room, utility closet, drop zone, screened porch and two car garage.

Village Green Builders is currently building four homes from the new collection at the entrance of Saluda River Club in the Village District. Completion is expected in April 2012!

Every Brick Has A Story

Lexington’s, River Bluff High School, is scheduled to open Fall 2013.  The bricks being used for the school’s exterior were born from the clay found on site. According to an article in The State, shale from the 146-acre site on Corley Mill Road was used to create 600,000 bricks. Now known as “River Bluff Blend,” the deep red bricks bring a resource-conserving heritage to the school’s unique design.   Read more at TheState.com

New Lexington Schools to Open

Meadow Glen Elementary School, currently under construction at 510 Ginny Lane in Lexington, will open for the 2011-2012 school year. Cheryl Fralick has been named as principle of the new elementary school. Fralick has been with Lexington One School District since 1998 and was principle of Midway Elementary from 2005 – 2010. In 2012, Saluda River Club middle school kids will attend the new middle school, Meadow Glen Middle, and then in 2013 our high school kids will go to the new River Bluff High.

“Within minutes I knew Saluda River Club was it.”

Longing for a neighborhood in a natural setting with outdoor activities and a true sense of community, Elizabeth and Craig Burnworth had frequently pondered where on earth that place could be and once discovered, when that dream would be realized. Little did they know the answer was in their own backyard. The revelation came the day Elizabeth and the children were invited to a picnic in Saluda River Club. After playing on the playground with the kids and strolling by the river, Elizabeth knew she had found it. From onsite running trails and kayaking to neighborhood events, great schools and access to Columbia, Saluda River Club had the lifestyle the Burnworths had envisioned.

“We were so warmly welcomed by everyone,” says Elizabeth.  “We were just blown away by the events and the opportunities.”  Little more than six months after first seeing the community, the Burnworths moved into their beautiful new home.  “I feel like Saluda River Club is going to be a very nurturing place for our family for many years to come.”
