When Angie and Mickey Renner decided to settle in the Columbia area they took the search for a new home seriously. “We looked at 43 houses!” Angie recalls.
“What sold us on Saluda River Club was the appreciation for nature here – it’s really unlike any other community. Without sounding too sentimental, it was just so wholesome and pure, which is how we wanted to raise our boys.”
The Renners love the attention to detail and the quality of their River District home. But Angie admits that one can find beautiful homes in many places. It’s the proximity to nature – from kayaking to enjoying a picnic as the sun sets over the river – that makes life so special for their family.
Then there’s the convenience. Mickey works nearby in Columbia and Angie does some consulting from home. The quality of the Lexington school district let them take their boys out of private school and enroll them in the local schools.
Angie also loves the multi-generational lifestyle. Whether it’s Bible study, movies on the green or Bunco, it’s easy to find people of every age enjoying time together.
She adds, “The other day we were at the pool and I said to the boys, ‘Look around – do you realize how lucky we are to live here?!'”
